To All Concerned Pedestrians and Motorists:
On Monday, May 18, at 7:00 p.m., representatives from the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will be at Kensington’s Town Hall to discuss the “missing” stretch of sidewalk on Connecticut Avenue from Washington Street to Saul Road. Officials from the Towns of Kensington and Chevy Chase View have been working for years to move this process forward and welcome public involvement. SHA just recently approved approximately $200,000 for the design phase of this sidewalk project. Please come out, bring your questions and show your support for this important safety issue.
Kate Mazzara, SHA Assistant District Engineer, and several other representatives who contributed to the project, will discuss the purpose of the completed final concept report as well as the funding and schedule for the design phase that was approved by SHA on April 29, 2009.
The meeting will take place in Kensington’s Town Hall, 3710 Mitchell Street, Kensington, Maryland. All are welcome.
