Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church Announces

Community Flea Market to Benefit Warner Mission Trip to Repair Homes of the Needy in Cumberland, MD

Kensington, MD - May 2, 2009

The Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a Community Flea Market on May 2nd from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM in its parking lot at the corner of Prospect St. and Connecticut Ave. in Kensington. The community is invited to help Warner repair homes for the needy by participating in the Flea Market. Spaces at the Flea Market are available for $15.00 and spaces with tables are available for $25.00.

All proceeds from space and table rentals will help fund Warner Memorial's trip to Cumberland, MD at the end of June to repair the homes of people in dire need. Warner is returning to Cumberland after two years of helping rebuild New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. This will be Warner's eighth visit to Cumberland to work with the NAILS mission project in repairing local Cumberland homes. NAILS was started after severe flooding damaged homes in the Cumberland area ten years ago.

The rain date for the Flea Market is May 16th. Tables and spaces are limited. To reserve a space or table contact Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church at 301-949-2900 or WarnerMemorial@comcast.net

The Press Contact for this event is Bill Burns at 301-933-7799.
