Support A WIDER CIRCLE - Eat Pancakes on Thursday, April 23

This Thursday, April 23, A Wider Circle will be the featured charity at all
of the local Original Pancake House Restaurants (including Bethesda,
Rockville, and Falls Church)! This means that they will donate 15% of their
proceeds for breakfast and lunch to A Wider Circle, so please go eat a lot
of pancakes!

On another note, A Wider Circle is currently seeking a new Director of
Development to oversee all of the organization’s marketing and fundraising
efforts. Our great Director of Development, Layne Amerikaner, will be
finishing her two-year stint in July and moving back to West Virginia. She
has helped grow this organization in so many ways, and we look forward to
bringing in someone to continue this growth.

Responsibilities will include grant writing, marketing material design,
public speaking, event planning, and supervision of fundraising volunteers
and interns. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic person to join

A Wider Circle is also looking for more volunteer truck drivers to help us
pick up donated furniture from local families! This is a critical piece of
the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program that serves thousands of local children and
adults each year. There’s no special license necessary – just a desire to
serve families in need.
